
Jacques Hacquebord, MD
Dr. Jacques Hacquebord, MD, is a dedicated hand and microsurgeon and orthoplastic surgeon specializing in severe upper extremity trauma and lower extremity reconstruction. Inspired during his residency at a leading trauma hospital, he further refined his expertise through a hand and microsurgery fellowship and additional training in Asia.
At NYU Langone, Dr. Hacquebord is the chief of the Hand Surgery Division and treats individuals of all ages for complex nerve, vascular, and bony injuries, including amputations, non-unions, severe wounds, and brachial plexus injuries. He focuses on providing solutions and restoring meaningful function.
Collaborating with colleagues in orthopedic and plastic surgery, Dr. Hacquebord customizes treatments, including limb reconstruction for complex problems, emphasizing a team approach at the interface of both fields. Dr Hacquebord has made NYU Langone’s Division of Hand Surgery a leader in research. The division of Hand Surgery actively contributes to basic and translational science, researching functional limb reconstruction for traumatic injuries. Awarded a 2017 traveling fellowship from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, he conducted extensive education and research in China and India, staying at the forefront of the field.
